French is the official language. Swahili, Lingala, Tshiluba and Kikongo are the national languages. But a portion of Congo elite can speak some English. You can also hire interpreters and translators locally.

Lake Kivu; Kahuzi Biega gorillas (Bukavu); Wagenia falls (Kisangani); Nyiragongo volcano (Goma); Okapi reserve (Epulu); Zongo Falls (Bas-Congo); and of course, the Magestic Congo river (which throws 22 times more water a second than the Nile).

The most attractive sectors in Congo include; i) Mining sector, from Copper, Cobalt and Lithium in Katanga; Gold, Coltan and Tin in Kivu, Ituri, Bas-Uele and Maniema; to Diamond in Bas-Uele and Kasai. ii). Manufacturing; including food industry, timber, building materials, etc; iii). Infrastructure: roads, railways, bridges, housing, naval sector; hospitality, across the country; iv). Energy; with Congo one of the most energy hungry, despite the country being endowed with powerful rivers, rain and sun; v). Agriculture: with Congo importing 60% of its food, despite its 80 million hectares of arable land; vi). Tourism: with its fauna, flora, lakes, mountains, forests, rivers, lagunas, historical heritage, etc to visit; and vii). Health Sector: to tap into Congo’s multi-million deficit and attract Congo’s health seekers back from India, Turkey and Europe.

From neighbouring countries, you can access by land. From other countries; Congo has 4 key international airports: Kinshasa, Goma, Lubumbashi and Kisangani.

DR Congo has experienced political instability and conflict in the past, but the situation has improved in recent years. The country has a democratically elected government, and there is a renewed focus on economic reforms to attract foreign investment.
